Built to Last was created specifically for women physicians who want to rebuild strength,
confidence, and long-term physical resilience—but haven’t found an approach that truly fits the reality of their lives.
This isn't a challenge or a quick fix. It’s a structured, supportive strength training
experience, designed with the realities of clinical work, real schedules and long-term health in mind.
Why This Experience Exists
Many women physicians understand the importance of strength training, yet consistency is often disrupted
by demanding schedules, mental fatigue, and competing responsibilities.
Too often, personal health gets pushed aside—not because of lack of motivation, but because
most fitness offerings aren’t built for this reality.
Built to Last exists to provide structure, guidance, and accountability in a way that
is sustainable, realistic, and supportive—without extremes or unrealistic expectations.

Program design and education are led by a board-certified physician, with expert coaching
support on the gym floor.
Hi, I’m Dr. Esra Shermadou. I’m a board-certified family medicine physician with additional
training in obesity medicine, and a strong (no pun intended! 😊) focus on strength training and long-term health.
I created Built to Last after seeing how often women physicians put their own physical well-
being last. After discovering, first-hand, how transformative it can be to rebuild strength in a structured, supportive, I knew I needed to share this with my fellow female docs in an environment designed specifically for them!
